The art piece “Spring Blossom” has three major functions-
- Atmospheric control
Mist is released from the “stigma” of the art piece to control the ambient temperature. It cools down the surrounding and provides a foggy like effect for the enjoyment of the public on a hot sunny day.
- Spectacular effects
The art piece will provide spectacular lightings for special events. A flower blossom like effect for different time of the day, month and season.
- Pollen attractions
The art piece is a revisit of the geodesic dome (by Buckminster Fuller) to sustain new urban ecology. The double skin structures are petal like wombs to attract birds, insects for habitations. Human and animals all come to the attractions like bees drawn by the pollens.

The creek in this restoration site provides protected spawning sites for migrating salmon as long as gives nutrients to the plant species surrounding the water. The shade provided by the trees also gives habitat to the salmon by giving them a cool place to hide from predators.
