I didn't have a fly but I did have this fun shot I took of this little dog earlier this week, wanting to play with Luna and Binky. He was so playful and looked so cheeky in the long dewy grass!

A little Photoshop fun.
To create this image I focused on the flower (White False Indigo) and fired away as the Hummingbird went from bloom to bloom. I took the best 3 and combined them!!! Ta-Da!
It was a beautiful, misty morning in the mountains... but the image lacked something. As I was processing it, I decided to add the wildlife (racoons and birds) to add a little "something" that the image itself was lacking. They don't perfectly blend in... and I don't know that I achieved what I was looking for, but the editing process was fun.

This past October on a walk through Mine Falls Park, I noticed some strange things, like this tree with all those holes in it. I like the tree, don't get me wrong, but I don't like imagining the screams coming from its mouths. The end of the log caught my attention because of the white fungus. Reminds me of leaf shapes surrounded by leaves! Enjoy!

On Lake Wilcox, Richmond Hill. As York Region went from complete lock down to Red alert, families are going for some outdoor fun including playing on thin ice against posted warning. Explored, Mar 20, 2021.

On this particular evening there were many families out, walking about or enjoying the fountains.
I found myself envying them just a little bit because the heat has become unbearable lately and the children were running through and splashing in the fountains, having a blast (some of the parents enjoyed a splash or two also). But I had arrived late, hoping to catch the sunset, when it suddenly became very windy, thundering overhead. Families quickly packed up and left. Fortunately, I was able to get quite a few shots in before the sky opened up.

Fog and steam from generator cars make for photo fun at the Great Northern Depot in Minneapolis on Nov. 19, 1977. The blue flag has been pulled from the Empire Builder behind F40PHR's after an overnight trip from Chicago; it will head west to Willmar. On the other track is the Arrowhead getting ready to depart for Duluth behind an SDP40F. If you stood here today you would be in parking lot looking at the Federal Reserve Bank, no trace of the depot remains.

Young ladies having fun on the boat on the Canal St Martin
Construction of the canal was ordered by Napoleon I in 1802, in order to create an artificial waterway for supplying Paris with fresh water to support a growing population and to help avoid diseases such as dysentery and cholera.
Gaspard de Chabrol, prefect of Paris, proposed to build a canal from the river Ourcq (starting 100 km northeast of Paris). The canal was dug from 1802 to 1825, funded by a new tax on wine. The canal was also used to supply Paris with food (grain), building materials, and other goods, carried on canal boats. Two ports were created in Paris on the canal to unload boats: Port de l'Arsenal and Bassin de la Villette.
By the 1960s, traffic had dwindled to a trickle and the canal narrowly escaped being filled in and paved over for a highway. Today, the canal is covered from Rue du Faubourg du Temple to the Place de la Bastille.
In late December 2006, 350 tents were put on the Canal Saint-Martin by the NGO Les Enfants de Don Quichotte, in support of the "right to lodging" (Droit
au logement
). The NGO invited well-lodged people to sleep a night in the tent, alongside homeless people. The NGO Médecins du monde (MDM) had taken the initiative, in 2005, to give tents to all homeless people in Paris, in order to provide them with minimal privacy and to make misery visible. But the prefecture of police, under orders of Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, was progressively expelling homeless people camping in Paris. Thus, the Enfants de Don Quichotte's action attracted attention to this expulsion. In the context of the 2007 presidential election, Jacques Chirac announced that the "opposable right to lodging" would be enacted into law before the end of his term.
