Still working with the full spectrum camera. It's half learning IR and half learning how to get good results with a small sensor. It's about noise, dynamic range, white balance, and finding interesting scenes and subjects that work with IR/full spectrum. The camera has a surprising mix of capabilities and shortcomings.
Like many alternative forms of photography, there's something a little more hit-and-miss with full spectrum. So it seems anyway. But when things come together, the images are unique and the process is part of the fun.

ALOHA...didn't notice any hot-spot with the full spectrum conversion and hot mirror clip-in filter combo, but did using the 850nm & Blue NDVI clip-ins.

The Rising Sun on the Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend.
Captured with converted full-spectrum camera, which does not have UV or IR filters. The most noticeable effect here is the slightly reddish tingle to the pumpkins.
Taken using a full spectrum camera which captures UV, visible, and IR light, using a converted camera. Note to self: this view captures the distinctive colors of full spectrum photography which don't quite match those of visible light photography, giving the image a distinctive look. The red tingle of higher frequency colors shows up most clearly.
Shot with a full spectrum converted camera and an STC clip-in IR 850nm filter. Lens was a Nikon 200mm f/4 AF-D Macro lens.
I love Infrared photography it turns that bright harsh light into a nice cold winters day .
