We spent a Sunday afternoon driving along the Fruit Loop in the Hood River Valley.

The path is a little too small, then again that's all I could do with six packs of Skittles and a box of Loops ):

I visited my aunt JoAnn and Uncle Terry in Portland back in 1993 and we took many scenic drives. This was an offshoot of one: a scenic walk down a leafy, misty trail.

Success! I found my pear cider! It was everything I dreamed it would be. I also bought these edible rocks in honor of Maureen Johnson, who is always threatening to eat rocks on Twitter.

We saw a big sign for fresh fruit, so we turned down this driveway only to find it CLOSED! But at least we got a nice view of an old barn with Mt. Adams in the distance? (and yes, this shot is a wee bit overdone but I kind of like the colors so I'm leaving it as is)
