This past week I had the opportunity to shoot with a crazy-brilliant group of creatives. There were acrylic paints, wine, flashing lights, eyelashes and ham...and we had a blast!
Heather is a visual artist...jewelry, lawn art, and a painter. Erin is a highly recognized model, creative director and delightful fruitloop. Mark is a painter / pinstriper whose art graces everything from motorcycle tanks to toolboxes to Christmas Ornaments!
I love being around other creatives...it feeds my soul. On this day, these 3 talented people all joined together to create something fantastic...and I am thrilled I got to be a part of it.

I love fruit loops. I love how it tastes like, I love it's colours, and I love how good it looks in my photos.
Based on a kit by KnitWhits, these toddler socks are knitted in merino wool (colourway 'fruitloops'). The design is my own (stitch pattern from "Fancy Socks" by Anna Zilboorg), although the yarn and sizing is based on the KnitWhits kit.
This is the front view, showing side gussets which I added because traditional Turkish shaping doesn't make it very easy for little people to pull their socks on.
This is my mom's friend's lovely daughter who had just eaten a LOT of fruit loops before taking this picture.

Another shot from 100 days of kindergarten, this time with a little selective color for fun. That effect can be really overdone-- I know I used it too much!
So, after avoiding this effect for the past year, here's selective color again, used in a way that's hopefully not over the top. The angle on this photo is interesting, but I blew the focus-- it should have been on the subject's right eye, and instead was on his left.
