i have heard of cereal cafe's but have never been to one. so i decided to make my own cereal combo and make it extra yummy by adding strawberry ice cream. it looked so delicious, i had to take a photo before i took my first spoonful. YUMMY!
I came up with this craft for a group of tween/teenage girls at a camp...it was a last minute idea. I used Fruit Loops instead of candy because it was cheaper to get a big box of cereal ($2). The idea is a play off of Ooh La La's candy cupcakes. I will be using Ooh La La's original idea for a "welcome baby" gift for visitors in a couple weeks. Pics of those will follow soon after.
This one makes me happy, the light coming in and all the colors of the fruit loops and sharpies. M had her birthday party this weekend for her little friends. We did a Pancake and Pajamas theme. They came over in their pjs in the morning, we had breakfast, and we did a variety of activities including making fruit loop necklaces and decorating pillow cases with sharpies. 24 different colors of sharpies. Does life get better than that? Now what will I do with all of them...oh the possibilities.

Sometimes we let affection,
go unspoken,
Sometimes we let our love
go unexpressed,
Sometimes we can't find words to tell
our feelings,
Especially towards those
we love the best.

On one of many Columbia Gorge trips where the sun played hide-and-seek behind the clouds, I got tired of waiting for the right light, and stopped in for a wine tasting at the Wy'East winery. While Gaia was in tasting the juice of the grapes, I set up my camera, and watched yet another rare sunbreak miss my subject entirely. So, I shoved a holder of Orthochromatic film into the camera, and made a couple exposures. I chose Ort film because of its higher contrast.
