I finished Eye of the World! I was invested the whole way through... and might have picked up a copy of the next book in the Wheel of Time series. 📖 . . I found the story very intriguing and love where it's headed. All the characters are great (my favorite is Lan because he reminds me of Aragorn). 😏 I've seen some reviews complaining the book is too long and detailed but I think that's why it's easy to geek out about. I love learning about house sigils and colors. The nerdier, the better! . . If you are reading along let me know how you like it and how progress is going. I first came across the story of the Snow Maiden in Eowyn Ivey’s book The Snow Child. She adapts the Russian folktale to a wonderfully beautiful novel about a couple settling in the Alaskan Frontier. ❄️ . Yes, I did buy this book for the cover (hellllo birch trees and cute fox!) and was delighted when I fell in love with the story. It’s one of my favorite winter reads and Ivey’s newest book is also top notch. 📖 . I knew I wanted to make a Snow Maiden candle for a year, and when I came across the main birch fragrance oil I knew we had a winner.
