Green frogs, knuckles mountain, April 2010

Its a big world out there

Last night I spotted a Frog across the street to my house. So i stalked it to get some pictures and then stalked it again to get a picture with it. :'')

He/She was so adorable! And one chubby baby. Haha.

I kid, but the special exhibit "Frogs" was awesomeness incarnate, and I would've stayed in the frog room all day long, were it not for my son urging us forward. Swear to god, if I saw that all-knowing expression on a human being, I'd be convinced s/he'd attained nirvana.

I finally found the real Blue Frog of Shanghai !

Ok this one is not so blue, not so sexy (and of course can't make delicious burgers I guess), but it's cute !

It's a frog I found in my garden. It was surprisingly cooperative.

Today's subjects are Eastern Sedge Frogs (Littoria fallax), photographed at Palms for Brisbane, a plant shop on Lytton Road at Morningside. The frogs are tiny when in their pond and not much bigger when fully grown, making them something of a macro challenge, but they happily cooperated with the photo shoot.

Bullfrogs are invasive in Washington State, but they are common. I saw this one in Bellevue and another one in Redmond.
