Unlike some countries I've been to (Vietnam, Morocco) the locals in Tibet are very friendly and happy to have their photo taken!
Diane (circulation) and Christy (one of our Board members) at the circulation desk.
Our library circulation staff check out, check in, and shelve materials, as well as helping people find books, making recommendations for what to read next, and answering reference questions.
Since joining a shared library catalog a couple of years ago our interlibrary loan rates have skyrocketed. About 15% of the items our patrons check out are borrowed from other libraries. In addition, about 10% of our circulation is for items going out to other libraries for their patrons.
Needed to bring something for the cake walk for my daughters school, and this little witch was perfect
On Friday we rented a golf cart to go have lunch at Dave and Heidi's. We had a little time to burn so we start driving around. We pull over and I'm looking both ways to try and get back into traffic when this little dog is trotting down the street. He gets past the cart and then hops in. We didn't have anything to feed him so he hopped down and trotted away.
This fly had no problem hanging out on Suegene's hand while she took several photos of it.

We found a beach where we spent the night between Kom Ombo and Edfu.
In the morning, we woke up and saw that there was a little bit of activity behind the trees.
We walked there and saw a stream running along the Nile and curious people who were as surprised as we were to see us.
I was browsing the Dream House property, thinking of how nice it was, and one of the very friendly neighbors came over to say hello and welcome me to the neighborhood! "Good mornin' ma'am!," I said. "Neigh, baby." said the horse.
Horses are good neighbors. Quiet neighbors. Oh how I long for quiet neighbors.
Lena is a family cat who only sees me occasionally. She is always very friendly and likes to jump up to be patted. She lives with four little kids so not much bothers her - she's a sweetie.
A friendly match between Alexandria University (Malaysia) team vs Al-Azhar University (Indonesia) team. Mansoura was the host for this match.
This dog ran up to Dakota and I yesterday on the beach.
Now, while I WISH we had a dog park or a dog beach or SOMETHING, we don't. And, while my Dakota doesn't always LISTEN like she should, I still make an effort to call her back and I ALWAYS go retrieve her if she runs off.
This dog's owner, who was maybe 150 yards away, at least, made NO attempt to call this pup back. Thankfully he (or she) was friendly, but it definitely hit a nerve with me. What if she hadn't been? What if Dakota wasn't as friendly as she is? Ugh...
Anyway, happy furry friday.

From series of proposals as to how innocuous surveillance equipment need not be a threatening part of the urban environment by assuming a more playful and eccentric personality. To be exhibited at RIBA in July and August 2015 bit.ly/VirtualControl.
