At Berlin's Tegel airport plenty of taxis make ready for new passengers. Here the "best taxi driver in Berlin", with whom I talked about the current FlickrFriday task “Taxi”.
Am Berliner Flughafen Tegel machen sich zahlreiche Taxis für neue Fahrgäste bereit. Hier der „beste Taxifahrer Berlins“, mit dem ich über die aktuelle FlickrFriday Aufgabe „Taxi“ ins Gespräch kam.
Jim and I went for a wallk with Barney and Poppy yesterday we came across this frog. Maybe I should have kissed him to see if he would turn into a prince!

The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong, probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
What can I say about this hotel that has not been said before?The 'Pen' truly is one of the best there is.
We stayed in a grand deluxe harbour view room for five nights on the first leg of our one month round the world honeymoon. Although a little bit upset we did not get upgraded to a suite (well you can hope can't you) the room was great with a view that is unsurpassed.
The bathroom was spacious with his and hers sinks and one of the most powerful showers around, and two robes each.
We also made us of the health facilities when we were there and they are highly recommended, the swimming pool was great with a view over Hong Kong Harbour and there are saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzi's, but these are segragated by sex so I could not have a steam with my new wife, (just a big fat naked man:).
The staff could not be any more friendly and are always happy to help.
Two things I would recommend is to have afternoon tea in the lobby where they will bring you out a selection of cakes and finger sandwiches (if you are a resident you can jump the long line of tourists waiting for a table). And if you are thinking of making you arrival at the hotel a little more grand than a standard taxi the Peninsula has a fleet of Rolls Royces' that are available for airport pick ups.
I would recommend this hotel 100%.
The sunsets have been incredible here lately. Treated to this one just after I got off a plane, which made things seem all the more exalted. To see another view of this sunset from about 20 miles (?) to the east, see nocien's excellent photo
A friendly store owner smiles to me. He is making a victory sign just out of view from below the counter. This instersting store sells a variety of doodads like fridge magnets, figurines etc. His specialty howver seems to be istikana, or traditional Turkish tea cups, scores of which can be seen on the shelves inside his store. He also seems to sell spouted jars.

Started the morning off right with a friendly wave from the Utah crew. Throughout our trip, no matter what railroad, the crews were all great! Lots of toots and waves, and no birds that we were aware of, lol. Definitely not like some of the Midwestern and eastern RR crews.
