Die MS Stubnitz, die 1965 gebaut wurde, gilt als historisches Zeugnis der DDR-Hochseefischerei. So sind etwa die Maschinenanlage, der Funk- und Kartenraum und die Wohn- und Sozialbereiche noch im Originalzustand erhalten. Sie vermitteln den Besuchern einen authentischen Eindruck von der Fischerei in der ehemaligen DDR. Heute wird die MS Stubnitz für die unterschiedlichsten Events genutzt.
The MS Stubnitz, which was built in 1965, is considered a historical testimony of the GDR deep-sea fishing. For example, the machinery, the radio and card room and the living and social areas are still in their original state. They give visitors an authentic impression of fishing in the former GDR. Today, the MS Stubnitz is used for a variety of Events.
On a warm, sunny afternoon, these long-retired railroad cars created a composition punctuated by strong colors and soft light.

The container terminal CTT was opened in 1977 as the second container terminal after the container terminal Burchardkai, which had been growing since 1968, in the former port of Neuhof. The Port of Hamburg and Logistics (HHLA) took over the operation of the CTT in 1996. For expansion, the volcano port was filled between 1999 and 2003, so that the new terminal is now partly over the buried bunkers of the Second World War. As a result, two more berths could be set up for more in-depth ships. In 2008, a new freight yard was opened, which quintupled the capacity of the terminal.
Eröffnet wurde der Containerterminal CTT 1977 als zweites Containerterminal nach dem seit 1968 gewachsenen Containerterminal Burchardkai im damaligen Hafen Neuhof. Die Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) übernahm den Betrieb des CTT im Jahr 1996. Zur Erweiterung wurde zwischen 1999 und 2003 der Vulkanhafen zugeschüttet, so dass der neue Terminal heute teilweise über den verschütteten U-Boot-Bunkern des Zweiten Weltkriegs steht. In der Folge konnten zwei weitere Liegeplätze für tiefergehende Schiffe eingerichtet werden. 2008 wurde ein neuer Güterbahnhof eröffnet, der die Kapazität des Terminals verfünffachte.

The Past is represented by the locomotive power: former CR/AN streamliners GM22 & GM10 together with former NSWGR ALCo 4843. The Present by the new Manildra E-rake of hoppers with its sleek, modern design and of course the date: 2025.
Some fans might observe that it's good to see the "Old Junk" still earning their keep. Others might point out the resilience of 70 year old locomotives that are still fit for purpose!

This location and scene is unrecognisable today. After the recent (2023) land swap between the Commonwealth & SA State Governments, the Keswick Army barracks in the background will be transformed over time into medium density housing.

Port Surrey Docks and Alex Fraser Bridge viewed at sunset time from New Westminster, BC, Canada.
68 second long exposure made Fraser River and clouds in his black & white image looking smooth and tranquil. You can see some fog between the harbour and the hill, and you can see the reflections of Alex Fraser Bridge and the gantry cranes in the water.
