This is a Palm Tree growing out of a storm drain on a busy freeway in downtown Phoenix.
I have passed it for many Months and wanted to get a shot of it but at 60mph it was a little tough.
Well yesterday there was a bad traffic backup on the I-17 and I drove by here really slow.
Enough to snap one quick photo out the window.
How long it will survive and how big it can get is anyone's guess.
With the grate openings being so small the trunk will never get much bigger unless it grows around the steel bars.
