On my last business trip to Nebraska and Iowa, I had snapped a quick shot of a 1976 or '77 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme coupe while riding shotgun with the marketing guy.
This year, I got to see this 1978 or '79 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
I can imagine owning this old, green truck and having a strong emotional connection to it.

Scary stuff. We have had more warm and sunny days this winter than all of summer. Strange things are afoot.

I've moved away from Corfu for the moment and decided to process some more photos from my US holiday in June.
I took this after messing around in the lay-by taking jump shots. I love the bold yellow lines and fabulous blue sky.
Stephensons Road overpass outbound with Forster Road exit signage. Prior to the construction of this bridge, Stephensons Road did not connect to Clayton Road across the Scotchmans Creek valley with the approaches serving local traffic only. The through connection was via adjacent Forster Road, which was then provided with a full diamond interchange. Stephensons Road was connected via an overpass which meant it became a through route to Clatyon Road, but was not provided with freeway access.
This section of road was opened as the Mulgrave Freeway and opened between Blackburn Road and Forster Road in 1977 and from Forster Road to Huntingdale Road in 1979.
Big green overhead sign before Exit 183 on westbound Kansas Turnpike, where I-70 splits off from the Turnpike and I-470 starts in east Topeka.
Apologies for the poor quality photo--this was a total grab shot through my car window as I was driving along I-80, in eastern Ohio I believe. We are looking at one freaking gigantic wind turbine blade. Go large.
I support wind power, but even I thought this looked a little scary!

This has to be one of the most fiery sunsets I've ever witnessed! I swear I didn't pump up the saturation... it was just mind blowing to see the sky turn into a huge monster.
I was ready with my setup and waited for the sun to completely set behind the mountains. 45 minutes of doing absolutely nothing, of just standing and thinking (for the n'th time) about the magic that is a sunset, of just getting immersed into the grand show that was unfolding; 45 minutes of total bliss!
