J'ai utilisé mon 70-200mm pour capturer le paysage de Los Angeles durant la lumière matinale . Pas facile de trouver un nouveau point de vue…

Night photography of Downtown LA over the 110 Freeway.

Looking west towards State Line on I-435 from the Grandview Road bridge.

On the Freeway - Los Angeles

As you head up Mulholland Drive on the south side of 101 in the Cahuenga Pass, there's a spot to park and walk up to a viewpoint from which you can see the Hollywood Bowl, traffic on Hwy 101, and downtown LA in the background. This photo is cropped to leave out the Hollywood Bowl.

Looking west from the eastern approach to the bridge. The approaches are made of prestressed concrete with 67m spans between columns. The land for the Westgate Bridge on the eastern side of the Yarra was originally the Commonweath Aircraft Corporation's Aerodrome, which was acquired for the project.

Construction commenced in 1968 but a major section collapsed in 1970. The bridge did not open until 1978. Operated by the Lower Yarra Crossing Authority, the bridge was tolled from 1978 until 1985. Operation of the road was transferred to the Country Roads Board/Road Construction Authority in 1982.

The section of freeway between Williamstown Road and Graham Street has its own non-standard Street lighting (since modified), bridge barriers etc which reflect the extent of works done by the former Authority. The anti-suicide barriers were added to the structure were added as part of a project to strengthen the bridge and convert the emergency lane to a fifth traffic lane either way. This work was undertaken between 2009 and 2011.

Looking inbound from Stanley Avenue overpass. This section of road opened in 1979 between Forster Road and Huntingdale Road (the exit can be made out in this shot) with three lanes each way. A fourth was added as part of the M1 Upgrade project making the freeway eight lanes between the Burnely/Domain Tunnels in the city and the South Gippsland Freeway interchange at Doveton.

Note the Melbourne city skyline in the distance. The two sets of transmission lines carry two 220kV lines from the Rowville Terminal Station south east of the city to terminal stations at Malvern East and Richmond respectively.

The Santan Freeway Loop 202 is in the southeast valley of Phoenix. Onsite Insite offers the only billboards along a 23-mile stretch of the Santan Freeway Loop 202. This billboard is between I-10 and the Price Freeway Loop 101 in Chandler, AZ.

I couldn't fix all the distortion, but this should give a reasonably clear idea of where the roads would have run.

Today's Interstate 980 is shown here planned as Route 24.

Spotted on 101 south of Santa Barbara: a bike lane on a limited access freeway. Must be quite a tailwind!

heading back east toward the station at San Diego State U.

This image was made in Alabama at a rest stop on interstate 10, with a hasselblad 501 and a zeiss planar 80mm lense. I shot it with Kodak Technical Pan @ iso25. Exposure not recorded. It was processed dr5, developer2 (gives it the sepia tone).
