A quick stop on our trip West netted this pair of executive paint BNSF SD70MACs at BNSF's Cherokee Yard in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Freehand silk painting on Habotai 8 silk using Dupont dyes. REM Green on the air as the sun shines. This is a complete picture when the half face is mirrored to show the whole.
Just compare the two pictures. The R5 in combo with the RF 200-800 is simply amazing, even with an Extender.

Dragging bitmaps is all well and good, but this Pixelstick thing needs to be investigated to see if it has employment as an actual light painting tool.

Stitched with Caron Wildflower threads, one or two strands, and DMC six strand cotton floss.

I did the drawing for this freehand while sitting in a hospital waiting room using some graphite pencils. Of course I only had the wrong paper with me so it is done on Strathmore watercolor paper. Later I sprayed some fixative on the drawing and put a layer of clear gesso on top of that. After that I used color Prismacolor pencils to draw the whole thing. A little bit of Inktense white to brighten the background.
