shallow swiss declines

My first jump, 10500 ft (3 200 m) and 40 seconds of freefall :D

Being an electrical-based speedster has it's advantages.

Don't you want to take a leap of faith? Or become an old man, filled with regret, waiting to die alone... -Inception

Rooftop stories IV

My cowardice and my fears have hit the five in more than one occasion to be the brake of the best decisions.

Now both are tied hands and feet so they can yell at me but not trip me. And I decide whether to listen to them or not.

A kupola fölött állandóan gyepálják egymást (és a vörösvércséket) a varjak. Bár a faj PR-ja nem túl jó, én nagyon bírom őket. Intelligens, életrevaló madarak. Kompozit kép egy összecsapásról.

A Great Grey Owl was in free flight to capture prey in the grasses below. Successful, I might add!

Egyptian Mau cat frozen in mid-leap with low-power flashes.

Four strobes were used, each one at 1/16 or lower. A piece of black velvet acted as the background. The camera shutter was on the bulb setting, and I held a Pocket Wizard to trigger the flashes at the right moment.

Timing was the trickiest part. We practiced with a stuffed animal for a while to get down the routine of 1) focus set, 2) room lights off, 3) shutter open, 4) action signal, 5) flash trigger, and 6) shutter closed. Once we moved to live animals, it took three nights to get a good shot, since the cats would only stand for being dropped into a nest of flashes two or three times before giving us the slip. Emu (the cat) has a very long body, so even just getting her entirely within the frame was a challenge.

My main regret is not having some kind of light or reflection going up to catch her eyes more, but you can see what a gorgeous gooseberry green they are in this shot.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Kris Grimm, an aviation survival technician at Coast Guard Sector San Diego, freefalls into the water from an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter off the coast of San Diego, Jan. 12, 2016. Treat me beneath this clear night sky

And I will lie with you

I start to feel those butterflies

When I'm next to you

Tell me your secrets

Give me a friend

Let all the good times flood in

Do I love you?

Do I hate you?

I can't make up my mind

So let's freefall

A short trip to the Nordsternpark and Zeche Zollverein as my wife was shopping with her sister.

4th Card in a series to promote my city ( Antwerp ) in Brussels ( Capitol city of Belgium ) to young travelling tourists. I took several known buildings and made them into a themepark attraction.

This is the proud of our skyline: the Cathedral of Antwerp.
