On May 25, 2018, students from Halsey Academy, Dwyer Academy, Jefferson Academy, Elizabeth High School, Winfield Scott School No. 2 and Joseph Battin School No. 4 attended the Elizabeth Forum, held at the Elizabeth Public Library. The Forum, sponsored by the Elizabeth Historical Society and Future Cities, focused on the history of Elizabeth through the framework of transportation. The “journey” started with the first colonial road, King’s Highway, completed in 1735, linking cities such as Elizabeth, Boston, MA and Charleston, SC, and finished with the establishment of Elizabeth as a hub for transportation, shipping and air travel. Moderated by Stanley Neron, Elizabeth School Board Commissioner, students from the six schools were able to interact with the President of the Elizabeth Historical Society, Ken Ward, Union County Freeholder Angel Estrada and City Councilman Manuel Grova about Elizabeth’s past, present and future in a very informative and lively exchange.

Nooku Framework features neatly arranged by flexibility, extensibility, data handling and security.

It looks like a building composed entirely of scaffolds.

We had a special visitor to the SA Framework Unit this morning - Leo Gaggl, from Bright Cookie - he looks after all of the SA Framework's website needs - so off to Results Cafe for a nice 'cuppa'.

Any you wouldn't believe it from this photo - but I was only on the 'chai latte' - LOL.

I visited Matthew (who runs Saffron Frameworks) to interview him about frame building and more back in February. The interview will be online soon.

Ralph built a shade cover over the pond. This is at the framed stage; he has since laid boards across the top. We're going to plant vines (possibly passion flower and/or trumpet vine) at the base of each upright post & that will eventually provide most of the shade. And no, it isn't really lopsided, that's just the angle at which it was taken.

Wood framework building. The tipical way in this northern lands.

I went out with a friend to 3 covered bridges and Octoraro Lake in hopes of some fall color. It seemed like the trees were either bare or green. What color there was wasn't very vibrant. Over all, it was worth it.
