Debuting at NAHBS this year, Northern Frameworks was founded in 2016 by Alex Cook who has been building custom frames for the last decade. Northern Frameworks produces bikes with clean lines and tailored fit that are beautifully simple.

The framework was made with steel fencing posts bolted together

It's true. Get a bike.

First I screwed some wood to the back of the table, using 2" L-brackets. It seemed like this wouldn't be stable enough to hold 9" of dirt so I added two cross-braces—luckily my table is shorter than 8' (the length of the board) so I had a bit left over

I visited Matthew (who runs Saffron Frameworks) to interview him about frame building and more back in February. The interview will be online soon.

The first part of the framework to be installed is the rear support frame at the rear of the scene, which gives a relative marker for where the height of the scenery will be.
