The Barcelona Convention now has a total of seven associated Protocols: • The Protocol for the Prevention of Pollution of the Mediterranean Sea by Dumping from Ships and Aircraft or Incineration at Sea (Dumping Protocol, adopted 1976, in force 1978, amended 1995), • The Protocol concerning Co-operation in Combating Pollution of the Mediterranean Sea by Oil and other Harmful Substances in Cases of Emergency (Emergency Protocol, adopted 1976, in force 1978), replaced by the Protocol concerning Cooperation in Preventing Pollution from Ships and, in Cases of Emergency, Combating Pollution of the Mediterranean Sea (Prevention and Emergency Protocol, adopted 2002, in force 2004), • The Protocol for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution from Land-based Sources and Activities (LBS Protocol, adopted 1980, in force 1983; amended 1996, in force 2008), • The Protocol Concerning Mediterranean Specially Protected Areas (SPA Protocol, adopted 1982, in force 1986) replaced by The Protocol concerning Specially Protected Areas and Biological Diversity in the Mediterranean (SPA & Biodiversity Protocol, adopted 1995, in force 1999), • Protocol for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution Resulting from Exploration and Exploitation of the Continental Shelf and the Seabed and its Subsoil (Offshore Protocol, adopted 1994, in force 2011), • Protocol on the Prevention of Pollution of the Mediterranean Sea by Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal (Hazardous Wastes Protocol, adopted 1996, in force 2008), • Protocol on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM Protocol, adopted 2008, in force 2011). Out of these seven Protocols only the 1995 amendment of the Dumping Protocol is not in force nowadays. In fact in 2011 two very important Protocols, the Offshore Protocol and the ICZM Protocol came into force. The ICZM Protocol provides for better coordination, integration and holistic management of human activities in the coastal zones where understanding and taking into account the ecosystems is essential prerequisite of sustainable development.

Heavy gauge wire black taped with craft berry bunches then starting at the base using thin wire wrapped tightly. Covered in Loctite and sand then allowed to sit in a MAP puddle to form up the base. When I decide what color to work with the amount of time it has waited will have been vast compared to how long it takes to form the appropriate sized crystal.
In the framework of the National Model United Nations held in Azerbaijan on 20-23 February 2016, the simulation of UNHCR on the case of developing durable solutions to challenges of refugee crisis.
76 people participated in the simulation conference during four days. The sessions were moderated by Sheyla Rzaeva and Farid Alizada. Four draft resolutions were submitted by the member states and all four were adopted by a two-thirds majority. As the result of the game, the participants were awarded with certificates. For their outstanding contribution to the committee the following delegates were awarded at the closing ceremony.

As part of the Water Framework Directive project for the Sirhowy catchment, Keep Wales Tidy along with volunteers from the Cardiff Rivers Group, Pathways Environmental, Gwent Anglers, Rassau and Blaenau Gwent River Rangers and Groundwork Caerphilly constructed and installed approximately 10 metres of revetment using Willow and reclaimed brick from the river.

This footbridge is constructed within the framework of an original bridge, moved many blocks, one Sunday morning, from the river's edge to this location. It was no longer serving its purpose, due to a new bridge being built, so was placed here.
Kansas City's Union Station was designed by Jarvis Hunt at the request of the newly formed KCRT, Kansas City Railway Terminal, a consortium of 12 rail companies, after KC's original train station had suffered the flood of 1903, causing leaders to consider a move to higher ground.
Their overall investment was $50 Million, including bridges, viaducts, street rerouting, etc, and the station itself was completed around 1914 at a cost of some $6 Million dollars. According to one inflation calculator, in 2010 dollars it would cost $128,986,315.35 ! We'd never get bond issues passed for something like that, today!
As rail travel decreased, the Amtrak depot was under an embarrassing tent bubble, inside, to avoid the expense of climatizing the entire vast structure. (Amtrak finally built a small facility outside) By 1989 the last restaurant pulled out. By 1994, when I got my first glimpse inside, on a rainy Sunday tour, to raise support for a bistate tax (which passed in '96) the terminal was full of pigeon poop and was heavily damaged. Roof damage, water puddles on the floors.
Now it is a shining restoration, albeit not one which is always entirely self-sustaining, financially, but there is hope.
