I created these fragments for my Fragmented Embellishments swap on swapbot. I created these with Distress Inks and the Conservatory stamp set by 7 Gypsies. I also included a pack of rub ons as a little something extra for my partner.
Daily Shoot assignment: Tell the story of a subject today in a photograph by photographing one specific detail of it.
This is my father's rusty dog tag and military photograph (c 1947). The rusty tag is a fragment of a military career that was a great part of my father's life. He is missed.

Fragment of the vessel’s side. Four frames lay on top perpendicular to ceiling planks. Note the treenails projecting from the top faces of the frames. These would have fastened the 3-inch thick hull planking.
Boxes of fragments that previous diggers had found in the caves. After being washed, some of the fragments our group found might be added to them. We had to carry the buckets of dirt we filled up to the surface, too. The dirt was sifted to see if we missed anything. A tiny piece of Egyptian faience was found in Linda's dirt.

This is a fragment of a miniature clock from Turkey. A headwaiter we had gotten to know on several cruises gave us this as a gift when we saw him on the Carnival Fantasy. 11/08/12

While I was on vacation in Florida I had several opportunities to hunt for fossils, both on the beach and in the St. Johns river. Although I mostly found shark teeth, I also found several fossilized bone fragments.
This was one of the two best fragments that I found. I think I found this one washed up on the beach at Ponte Vedra.
