A visit to Richard FPs today saw me test my long time WIP Power Functions Alco with all Carl's available stock. I was please to see it pull it all no problem, eight fairly heavy (its all that vinyl ;-) ) 7-wide coaches and three container flats. I was pleased by the slow speed running too.
Now I need to finished the trucks...
It was great to see Richard again, and to finally meet Carl. Seeing his models in the brick was far better than pics, as was seeing the Corfe Castle layout that they have been working hard on.
"The Fans" Just the ticket for detecting Soviet space stuff in 1971.
Note the "security" fence - three drooping strands of barb wire strung from near-falling posts set in what appears to be sections of old oil drums. It begs the question "who or what is this fence supposed to keep out?" (probably idiots with cameras who would try to get directly in the radiation pattern for a better shot)
