Trying out some AA gun FPS. For Gibrick contest. I actually just held this gun up with one hand, and snapped the pic with the other.
It had to be done.

This photo was a beech to photograph, and it's not 100% accurate, but I did my best.
Sorry Kal, I beat you to it.
PLEASE FOCUS ON THE BUILD, NOT THE PROTOS
...FPS, as in first-person-shooter (click for large). This perspective immediately brought back memories of Doom on the PC :)
A relative lives in a high-rise condo sandwiched between the Imperial Palace and Canadian Embassy in Tokyo. Needless to say she has a gorgeous city view! Will share that later.
Inspired by the incredible industrial environments of the Doom and Quake games, I’ve been wanting to make a scene from a first person shooter in Lego for a long time. I won’t pretend it was easy. I won’t even pretend that I’ve nailed it but I’m pretty happy with it anyway.
Scroll on for close up shots of the environment (plus a very unfortunate robot). The final slide shows the moc without the gun in it. And speaking of the gun, it’s actually a fully modelled sci-fi minigun (not just the front section) which I’ll be posting pics of in a day or so.
I tested out my new timelapse controller with the Full Moon rising last night... and ended up finding out what NOT to do! While waiting for the Moon to rise I got side-tracked taking panoramas of the city, and I suddenly realised that the Moon was rising. So I had to quickly set up the timelapse controller (in the dark!) and start shooting the timelapse. Of course I got the settings wrong because I couldn't see the screen properly, so I ended up taking an exposure every 7 seconds instead of 3 seconds, and so to extend the length of the resulting timelapse I've used 15 frames per second instead of 24 fps. Anyway, lots of room for improvement but I'm happy with this as a first go.
