Sunny Sixteen a bit off, I'm never as good indoors so had to push a bit in post but I think, or I convinced myself, it added to the atmosphere.
Rowntree Wharf, consisting of five stories and a nine-storey water tower, is probably York’s best industrial building. Originally one of the largest flour mills in Europe, it was founded by Henry Leetham in 1860. The building, designed by Walter Penty, was situated between the river Foss and Wormald’s cut.
It was supplied with grain by barge to the original mill, situated where a car park is today.
The mill closed in 1930 and in 1935 it became the Rowntree and Co’s Navigation Warehouse. Gradually it fell out of use, as road transport replaced river transport. Cocoa beans were brought to the wharf until the 1960s. In 1989 it was converted into flats and offices by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

This is a mad lens. I haven't got the discs that are supposed to control aperture/softness. So this is shot at f4. I'm still playing with this lens. Jury is out!

One day in June, I decided to load up a couple of old cameras with some 135 format, black and white, film. One was a Nikon FTn with a 35 mm lens that I gave to me daughters. They are seven and nine years old, and were interested in learning some photography. I loaded a Spotmatic 1 for myself. I planned to shoot the whole roll with a 300 mm lens, but some of the shots were taken with other lenses.
Unfortunately, you can see a gentle scratch that was picked up on the scan of the film. I hate to squeegee my film after processing, since I very frequently damage the film. However, I always seem to keep making the same mistakes anyway. Old habits die hard.
Check out an album containing more of my photos shot in 2018.

Just running a film through the newly repaired M2 in the field, literally. Overcast but enough light for the summer film FP4+. Just needs the 90mm Voigtlander Apo LTM to bring the distance in a bit, it doesn't work at all with a 21mm.
I like the tree line in the distance, good for infinity testing if the moon is behind clouds when it's needed.

A picture taken in the ruins of an old abandoned cement plant, whose most remarkable peculiarity, in addition to the fact that my good friend and fellow photographer, Mr. Antonio, appears on it, is that it was taken with my vintage Voigtländer Bessa, a medium format camera made on 1936.

I'm still busy, I've got a testweek coming up.. :)
I bought a film scanner, a secondhand Canoscan 8400F, I don't think it's used a lot, because the software was still sealed and the film-slides were in 'factory plastic' too..
