I thought this was female Broad-Bodied Chaser - fooled by what I'm pretty sure were the bluish males of that species also around - though they never stopped long enough to be sure of the id or to catch a shot. I'm always happy to be corrected by those with more knowledge of these creatures and am sure that Nick has the correct id - thanks!
I like the composition one can make with something as simple as windows. Angles, Point of View, Reflections and combinations for a few ideas. Old and new there is this attraction.
Well for me anyway.
Happy Window Wednesday
New York, Susquehanna & Western Alco C430 #3006 switches hoppers at Cortland, NY. This is certainly not the Cortland of today! The train, BH1 has made it's way into town from Binghamton to do the work. Today, there are "CL", Cortland jobs based right in town. The BH1 may not return for another week. The CL jobs are on as many as 7 days per week. Alco's dominated the scene in the 80's. EMD's reign king of the rails today. One locomotive handled things just fine 40 years ago. Today heavy stone and oil are in need of multiple units to get over the road.
My, have times changed!
Old guys rule. Seen at the Ballinasloe horse fair, Co. Galway, Ireland.

I am still at my son's home, recovering from kidney stones surgery. I just learned that Russellville Park is experiencing a COVID outbreak, so i won't be returning there anytime soon!
