Magnolia soulangeana (beverboompje)

The magnolia soulangeana (beaver tree or common magnolia) is one of the most popular magnolias. This shrub or small tree blooms beautifully in April and May with flowers that have a deep pink heart and a soft pink to white flower edge. The flowers look a lot like tulips.

Yesterday we got an afternoon sunny break from our gray, rainy weather. I went out to a favorite Butterfly spot to see what was flying around.
