Made entirely from scrap metal including car parts and a scrap sash clamp. I really enjoyed making this sculpture and wanted to inject a bit of fun 'comic strip humour' into the work.

The "House of Colors" lived up to its name, both outside and in. Maybe its Technicolor trapping shouldn't be a surprise, since Casey worked for years in auto body repair. He was a nice man of few words, who told us he does this because "it makes me happy." Casey also reminded us that "mi casa no es su casa." That is, he loves for people to look it over, but only from outside the gate.
Casey passed away on Dec 17, 2010 and the status of his site is unknown. Most of his work is painted on the plaster inside and stucco outside. The entire structure is just about to collapse. Anything we tried to remove would just hasten the collapse. The electric in the ceiling had already failed from the poor roof.

this house, I believe, is called Injun Praire Farm. It has many unique attributes. Rob Zombie may have visited here once.

This DIY is so easy and so much fun, perfect way to create a little winter wonderland!
And it's free to make! Take a little walk and gather some botanical treasures from around you. That takes care of the materials you will need!
If you live in a cold winter climate, these easy and pretty ice lanterns will look gorgeous on your door steps. If you live in a warm climate like I do, don't let that be a reason to stop you from experiencing the fun and magic, however long it lasts!

i like his face. Part of me wants to emphasize his eyes - they are totally au natural right now, other than the acrylic clearcoat that covers everything, rendering it matte.
