Random objects found around my apartment. The dog head (?) and the large piece of glass were found in the dirt around my apartment, and the marble was found on my walk to school.
The chunk of glass is really lovely. It's a light aqua, but shines in some places with a rainbow. :D
Simple simple punched bowl to be held in the palm of one's hand whilst meditating or reflecting. Created from side of a brass pot plant holder. Has the words peace and joy stamped into opposing wings.

Found in my middle school and in the streets of DC
I found this on my gas burner yesterday. I'm pretty sure it's a completely, totally, charred piece of carrot because, as I told chat, it's the only round thing that I've cooked recently.
I used the flash and the 4x macro lens to get the detail to show. Not the most attractive photo, but it's hard to get artsy with a burned carrot.
It was cast off from the Cape Cod area May 8, 1983.......found on the shore near West Quoddy, Lubec, Maine ...circa late1984 or early 1985.
Baby doll, rebar wire, window shutter, caulk. 2010. It was in the Memories: Recycling the Past to Repurpose the Future show at the ARTgarage in Green Bay, WI, in May of 2011.
Found on the sidewalk. I can just picture the lady who wrote this list. I think she was having someone over for tea, or lunch, and some of this looks like the ingredients for trifle. A bridge group perhaps?
The reverse side of this note can be seen in the next picture.
Repurposed brooch made of found objects (Vintage & used food packaging with Asian motifs). Commissioned by 'artisan' QLD for "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor" (100th Anniversary International Women's Day) travelling exhibition, various Australian Regional Galleries, 2011-2014.
A rather otherwordly-looking character who sprang to life when I saw a display of shinguards in the sporting goods section of a Target store. I saw nothing but a long, eerie face and instantly purchased it to make it into a puppet head. His name is not only short for "shin guard", but is a play on the name of my favorite type of guitar, the Gibson SG.
