This room is far below the towers of le Chapelle Notre-Dame-sous-Terre, holding all it's weight. The engineering is just phenomenal.
An image of a new stairwell at the fantastic Wellcome Foundation, Euston Road, London UK. The curved staircase is a great spot for photography, and they don't seem to mind you taking shots. There is a really nice cafe in here too!

"Langen Foundation near Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany is a museum designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The foundation showcases a collection of Oriental Art and Modern Art.
The museum was created on grounds which used to be a NATO rocket base. The building has double-skin volume and two half-buried temporary exhibition wings with a total area of 900 m²; the structure mainly consists of reinforced concrete, glass and steel. The museum offers three exhibition spaces totaling an area of 1,300 square meters. Situated within the ground-level concrete slab is the so-called Japan Room – an unusually long and narrow gallery conceptualized by Ando as a space of “tranquillity” especially for the Japanese segment of the Langen Collection. The two subterranean exhibition rooms, with a ceiling height of a surprising eight meters, were in turn designed to accommodate the modern part of the collection. The museum opened to the public in 2004."

This image was taken during a misty autumn explore of the woods near Stourhead.
I continued to explore both sides of the woodland which is separated by a track for woodland management vehicles to access.
During my time at the location I decided to experiment with some ideas such as focusing on the small features of the woodland.
I’ve designed this hand-woven 1.2 x 2 metre tall rug with Foundation Rugs.
This will go on display at the exhibition starting this week with the rest of the rug collection in London at the Dray Walk Gallery, Old Truman Brewery in London.

Die Langen Foundation ist eine 2002 gegründete private Kunststiftung. Sie widmet sich der Kunstsammlung von Marianne und Viktor Langen. Die Stiftung unterhält ein von dem japanischen Architekten Tadao Ando entworfenes Ausstellungsgebäude auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen NATO-Raketenstation bei Neuss. Neben wechselnden Präsentationen aus den Sammlungsbeständen werden hier Ausstellungen zeitgenössischer Kunst gezeigt.
