Scanned from a film found in one of my old Kodak Retinette cameras using an Epson Perfection v200 photo scanner.
Found Kodachrome slide, date not legible, showing a woman stood in an ornate doorway. The same woman as seen in Found Slide - 5151.
A Kitty on my doorstep! And yes, I realize her name is not the most original but for now, until she gets a new wig and eyes, she's Kitty. >.<
(These are for Mel, who showed me how very beautiful Hello Kitty could be and inspired me to one day have one of my own. Thank you Mel for sharing your Kitty with all of us. ♥)
Part of a large batch of vintage negatives I purchased at an estate sale. They seem to be mostly NJ, 1930s and 1940s. If you recognize a building, please comment and let me know where it is.
Some of these have "August 1950" on the back, some have "July 1950".
I love vintage photos of people having fun at parties. Remember parties?
An interesting RPPC photo of a group of girls - presumably German. This card has been mailed and has the 15 pfennig dark violet issue of 1917 attached. The postmark is very faint. No date to be seen or place, other than, "....LAU". The old fashioned handwriting is small and beyond me to decipher. If you are keen on translating from German let me know and I'll post a scan.
The young women appear to be wearing smocks or aprons over their dresses and there is a fence in the background which appears to have barbed wire on top. Could they have been canteen staff at a military base or factory? Ideas?
