Tonight I said goodbye to Edmund Muskie Wadsworth Longfellow. The owner saw the flyer and called to thank me for finding her "Ashes" who was lost during her move from Alcatraz Ave last week. She came and snatched him up an hour ago. I'll miss the fella.
Thanks to the reference librarians at the Prendergast Library in Jamestown, NY! They found a mention of the unfortunate end of life event for my ggg grandfather. I love this sort of thing.

Tidying up has its merits I suppose - especially when you find a full, unopened bag of mini chupa chups
Part of a large batch of vintage negatives I purchased at an estate sale. They seem to be mostly NJ, 1930s and 1940s. If you recognize a building, please comment and let me know where it is.
Update! Sam was found. They held him in facility after facility but no charges were ever found. We know the name of the officer who took him and we are making inquiries. Homelessness is not a crime. It's not. Harassment is. And we intend to see to that.
We know her as Mama. She and her family – husband Sam, dog Petey – live on the streets in downtown Miami. They are quiet, keep to themselves, don't get into any trouble, and yet they are harassed by the local "security" – I don't like to say the "P" word.
But I can't understand this:
Mama's husband, Samuel Quintin Reed, is missing from the streets. There's no information about him. We've tried to find him and he's not in the penal system, and thankfully not in the morgue. Please, if anyone knows anything do let me know. This woman is heartbroken.
It should be known that Sam looks at Mama like a man in love. It's clear how dear she is to him. Every time The Bandit and I have spoken with them, he looks at her with such a tender expression. I feel helpless to help her.
The Bandit and I are just people. Just like Mama. You don't know how close any of us are to being in this situation. This is a human being, my friends. You may never walk past Mama in Miami but you will walk by someone like Mama every. single. day.
On this woman's behalf, on her missing husband's behalf, please help a stranger even though you may not be able to help her. It's just the human thing to do.
Peace,
Meadaura and The Bandit

It's turning into a headache of coordination. Plus the damn leaves are falling off of the trees and it gets dark at 5 pm.
