This first edition of the poems of Nathan Lanesford Foster was printed and bound in 1841 in the print shop in Philadelphia where my great-great-great grandfather worked at the time.
For those of you who know Philly: the print shop was located in what is now the 'Old City' section of Philadelphia, near the Betsy Ross House and Independence Hall.
More modern editions of this volume are available at select booksellers:

……Went for the Circus side of the theme in this weeks Smile on Saturday, the chair is a creation by the Daughter in Law from a few Christmases ago - made from a top off a bottle of Bubbly, balancing it was a challenge but not insurmountable! The Elephant came from Jill’s moms but needed a pair of Tusks - unlikely to be Ivory poachers, however a few minutes with a Crochet needle (also Jill’s moms) I fashioned a new pair for him! The Ball is a remnant from when our Grandson was little. And finally, the Big Top backdrop is the curtain we hang over the front door to keep the direct sun off it. Indeed it was natural sunlight here, ‘Click’ & hey presto - Smile On Saturday, well after some minor edits just in Lightroom only. Alan:-) HSoS……

Man and Boy is a statue situated at King's Quay on the harbour of Brixham, Devon, England. It is the result of a long fundraising effort; the residents of the town raised £76,000 for its construction. The monument was created in clay by the local sculptor Elisabeth Hadley and cast in bronze in Shropshire. (Wikipedia)
The statue was used for tributes and a memorial service to two local fishermen, Adam Harper, 26, and 38-year-old Robert Morley who lost their lives while out fishing on the night of Saturday 21 November 2020.
I used a mini tripod balanced on a wall for this one. Out-of-camera jpeg, cropped.

Maud Foster Windmill is a seven-storey, five sail windmill located by the Maud Foster Drain in Skirbeck, Boston, Lincolnshire, from which it is named. It’s one of the largest operating windmills in England being 80 feet (24.38 m) tall to the cap ball.
The tower mill and adjoining granary is a Grade I listed building. The mill was built in 1819 for Isaac and Thomas Reckitt of Wainfleet. It was repaired and restored in 1988.

Foster Falls is beautiful and impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting it, however, the stream and cascades that flow out of the falls are amazing.
This is one of Nicole's (Escaping Reality) favorite places. Now I understand why.
A portrait of actress Meg Foster, who happens to be from my hometown. Doesn't she have the most hypnotic eyes?
Built on landfill, floating on lagoons. Photo taken from a recreational boat owned by a friend who lives in one of these beautiful homes.
An alternate view to one I posed some time ago. Foster Falls and its lead in creek provides a stunning composition.
