Brown Hare watching over this young rabbit, it followed the hare everywhere, lovely to see.

Little boy with pink hat

Born year ago in our place to our foster cat

Yesterday we got new fosters #Kengurukatit

This little runt girl, orange boy and antisocial cat that was trapped from a population. There were two more kittens yearlier, but they didn't make it, unfortunately. That's the sad truth of rescue life. Spay and neuter.

This first edition of the poems of Nathan Lanesford Foster was printed and bound in 1841 in the print shop in Philadelphia where my great-great-great grandfather worked at the time.

For those of you who know Philly: the print shop was located in what is now the 'Old City' section of Philadelphia, near the Betsy Ross House and Independence Hall.

More modern editions of this volume are available at select booksellers:

……You can’t beat a pop of bright red to grab the eye! Which is what this bright red boat did for me, an early morning on the harbour beats the crowds and gets the best light - win win! BTW, this 382 miles away from the previous shot taken in Norfolk!…….. Hope you had a good start to the week, have a super week, stay locked down and cosy to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

……Went for the Circus side of the theme in this weeks Smile on Saturday, the chair is a creation by the Daughter in Law from a few Christmases ago - made from a top off a bottle of Bubbly, balancing it was a challenge but not insurmountable! The Elephant came from Jill’s moms but needed a pair of Tusks - unlikely to be Ivory poachers, however a few minutes with a Crochet needle (also Jill’s moms) I fashioned a new pair for him! The Ball is a remnant from when our Grandson was little. And finally, the Big Top backdrop is the curtain we hang over the front door to keep the direct sun off it. Indeed it was natural sunlight here, ‘Click’ & hey presto - Smile On Saturday, well after some minor edits just in Lightroom only. Alan:-) HSoS……

The Caribbean flamingos (Phoenicopterus ruber) in the Front Street Habitat of the San Diego Zoo are now the foster parents of greater flamingos chicks (Phoenicopterus roseus) that were laid by their close cousins at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Since the Zoo's Caribbean flamingos are no longer recommended for breeding by the SSP, it was decided that these experienced birds could serve as foster parents. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is home to the largest greater flamingo flock in managed care in the world.

Maud Foster Windmill is a seven-storey, five sail windmill located by the Maud Foster Drain in Skirbeck, Boston, Lincolnshire, from which it is named. It’s one of the largest operating windmills in England being 80 feet (24.38 m) tall to the cap ball.

The tower mill and adjoining granary is a Grade I listed building. The mill was built in 1819 for Isaac and Thomas Reckitt of Wainfleet. It was repaired and restored in 1988.

Foster Falls is between Tracy City and Jasper Tennesee. Not much water but still a beautiful stop!! The hike wasnt bad either. I loved the suspension bridge just down stream for the falls although an 8 year old doesnt make it an easy crossing!!
