Reverse Stairs
Day 1: Used AutoCad to get formwork dimensions. It is a repeat of only few shapes, since the steps are a repeat.
Day 2: Cut plywood and pine down, and hauled it over to site.
Day 3: Put wood together just like lego and placed rebar in. Kept tops open at each step, for easy vibration, and it worked great.
When I used to pour concrete as a teenage wanna-be artist, I learned the value of making sure formwork are supported and secure. But yet again I learned from mistakes: each step required 2 poles and it was hardly enough and the nails was close to popping thru.
Day 4: Convincing and Pouring.
We poured the 1st floor (in america 2nd floor) and the steps in one shot.
The concrete subs Foreman was shocked when he walked up to it first. He was sure that no engineer had approved a staircase only supported at the top and bottom.
Only after calling the engineer did he trust the design. I thought that it was elementary and enjoyed the humor of it all.
General notes:
I used my nail gun to put it all together since I figured we'll only do it once (and safe time).
The formwork was almost destroyed when the subs team shot at it with the concrete hose. I quickly had them shoot it at the 1st floor metal formwork deck and then we shuffled it down. Vibration took more time than with any other job since it had to be shifted down.

The modular All Steel Form Panels are bolted together to form vertical strips.
The twin 'Soldier Panels' are then bolted to the backs of form panels to provide enough strength so that the form only requires Anchors below and above the concrete pour.
The full height Panel strip is then crane handled into position and attached to the panel unit next to it. This Heavy Duty method of Construction does away with the need form any Form Ties in the concrete wall.

The EFCO Redi-Radius system was reconfigured from the straight wall application on the Oxidation ditch to form the radius section of the same structure. Exterior view. Notice the small amount of parts and pieces with this system - this ultimately reduces labor costs to cycle the formwork.
The wooden chamfers are added into the formwork to ensure that we don't get corners with 90 degree angles as these are weak and susceptible to damage.

Shown here after acrylic laser cut pieces have been tensioned with latex. These forms are nice, if a bit shallow. Stronger apparatus, pieced latex, and better scaffolding will allow deeper, contoured, and adaptable pieces. But for a start, this is great. Patterns are drawn in resist and decoration fills in spaces.
