Taken while out on a little drive on one of the best roads in Michigan for a fall color tour. M-22. This is north of Onekama. I think the heavy looking clouds really adds to this image.
I took identical shots with the Bronica ETRSi on both Velvia 50 and Velvia 100. When I get around to scanning the Velvia 100, it will be interesting to see how they compare.

Target keeps signing new leases for its flexible format stores in New York City. This 21,000 sq. ft Target in the Forest Hills neighborhood in Queens was the first Flex store to open in NYC last year. The store is split over 2 levels with a small escalator connecting both levels. It was previously a Barnes & Noble.
Most of the ground floor is taken by apparel and checkout with a CVS pharmacy, pantry, tech and toys on the second level. There is a Starbucks adjacent to the Target (also there when the store was Barnes & Noble) which has an internal entrance from Target.
Within the past year, three Target flex stores (as well as one full-line location) have opened within NYC, with 4 more planned over the next 12 months. With Walmart basically locked out by the city council from building any stores within the New York City borders, Kmart and Target have the city to themselves (along with the many smaller, local discounters). A massive 140,000 sq. ft. Kmart is about 2 miles away from this Target in Middle Village, Queens.
Just this month, it was announced that one of Kmart's 7 city stores is closing and Target probably wants to get as many Flex stores open before Walmart grabs one of Kmart's 6 remaining NYC leases when it finally goes down for good.
Part beta on my cloudy day efforts with large format. Similar use of Arista Ultra 100 developed with Rodinal followed by Xtol. Didn't have my yellow filter unfortunately to give some drama, but at least I captured the detail, which at least made me continue to appreciate the big negative. Will be trying to contact print these soon. Thanks to those flickeranians who post their work and inspire the rest of us.
