"Rain falls on everyone

The same old rain

And I'm just trying to

Walk with you

Between the raindrops

I send my echo out

To get your love without

Obscured reflections of

My love

Rain falls on everyone

The same old rain

And I'm just trying to

Walk with you

Between the raindrops "

Let me introduce you to the beautiful new member of the Blur-clan:

This gorgeous almost 5-month-old Blue russian girl. We haven't agree with the name: The boys call her "Etôile" (Star in french), my wife says it's Momo (the girl from the book of Michael Ende), and I say it is Balam (jaguar in the Mayan language).

"And love will always heal and purify

So open up your wings and soar as the dragonfly

With every dawn

There comes a sunrise after every storm

There comes a blue sky with every kiss

There comes a promise

The warmth from the sun will liberate an beautify

So spread your wings and soar as the dragonfly

And love will always heal and purify

So open up your wings and soar into the sky

As the dragonfly"

"I believe in happiness

I believe in love

I believe she fell to earth

From somewhere high above

I believe in Hollywood

Don't believe that love must bring despair

'Cause when I hold her in my arms

I feel like Fred Astaire

You say love is just a disease

A plague for the naive

These days, no-one believes

Meteors may strike the earth

Nations live and die

I'm the boy who got the girl

And now we're gonna fly

We can cross the race divide

Bridge a gap that wasn't really there

'Cause when I hold her in my arms

I feel like Fred Astaire

I'm gonna hold her in my arms

Just like Fred Astaire

I'm gonna hold her in these charms

Like Fred Astaire..."

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events in more than 193 countries are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network.

On Earth Day 2016, the landmark Paris Agreement was signed by the United States, China, and some 120 other countries. This signing satisfied a key requirement for the entry into force of the historic draft climate protection treaty adopted by consensus of the 195 nations present at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.

This is my first post for the New Year. A little late but I guess better late than never right ;-) While I’ve been away I’ve been visiting other photography sites and just plain old looking at photography instead of taking it, which really helped to motivate me. I’m always trying to learn more about the art of photography and constantly trying to raise the level of my own photography. This year I’m looking to achieve a cleaner and sharper look, without losing the mood I intend to capture. Not to say that the dreamy HDR IR photos will be put to rest, but overall I want to achieve a less muddled look.

I’ve received a lot of emails regarding the purchasing of my work for public and private use and I want to say that I should have this underway very soon, now that all of my photos are registered with the copyright office in D.C. To my contacts, I know many of you are selling your work online, my question to you is do you have any tips or suggestions about websites that can help in these matters? I would be most grateful if you could send me a link via email or in a comment.

Ok, folks I hope all of you have had a great start to the New Year and I’m looking forward to visiting your photostreams and seeing what I’ve been missing. :-)

About the Photo:

Being swamped for time last autumn I hardly had time to go out and take shots of the foliage. I did manage to get one session in while visiting my parents. Unfortunately the leaves had all fallen and were all starting to die. So with this photo I tried to make the most of the situation. The mood I intended to capture in this photo is not about death but about the ending of life in hopes of starting a new one with a fresh start.

Processing:

Not an HDR, just a single Raw file processed in Photoshop with very little adjustments.

To see in Large: View On Black
