Stop the murder!
Please forgive me, but we, people are so narrow-minded that from "Carpe diem" we understood that it's ok to think just by the limit of our belly and our meal for today.
Think, it's not illegal yet, and in 50 years it's going to be useless because we'll be history as dinosaurs are.
Did you look at the field as you head home today or to a holiday destination?
Did you notice that wildflowers are getting less and less? I'm not talking about beauty, it's about insects, birds, mammals.
Do you remember that you learned about the food chain?
Who gives us the right to break it?
Have you seen many bees and butterflies this year?
Did you notice that there are fewer insects and field flowers?
We use pesticides and insecticides, without thinking that they will eventually bring us an indescribable end.
I don't know if I'm more sad or angry, disappointed maybe, and yes, as powerless as a grain of sand.
Sometimes it feels that no matter how hard I struggle to preserve this wonderful world as much as I can, is not enough.
Our country's government just approved that 439.330 skylarks can be shot to death this year. They'll end up in someone's plate in luxury restaurants in Italy and France. The money gained by the state for those kills will end up mostly in our corrupt politicians' offshore accounts

This is a western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava). I wasn't able to take a decent photo of a skylark, but I'm always happy to see them and to hear their songs.

Another image from my kestrel series. This image is a testament to the importance of observing bird/animal behavior for wildlife photography. American Kestrels are not large birds. In fact, there are a couple of mourning doves in my backyard now that are bigger than this kestrel. The diminutive size makes them a target for large raptors, so they are constantly on the vigil and definitely skittish around humans. It was extremely frustrating trying to photograph this bird as it never allowed me the opportunity to get close.
But one thing I learned watching the bird was the telltale signs of takeoff. The perch shot of the bird was the closest he has yet allowed me. At a certain point, I noticed him showing signs of taking off. I was ready this time, and I filled my D500’s buffer with images of a beautiful takeoff. One thing to note, though, I was shooting at 1/2500th of a sec but still got some motion blur in some of the images. I will try a faster shutter speed next time.

Forgive me my friend for the moment of silence.
I'm just coming back...from a spiritual journey. Lost & found of the true me..my-self. Coming out from the dark tunnel of sorrow & fear, I've discovered the new me. Realizing that the world that we live is a world of illussion and the absolute one is belong to GOD...the source of all. Alhamdulillah...now I really know that we are powerful, invulnerable and fearless as long as we are with God. I feel I'm so ungrateful all this while cause the moment I turn my face to God, He is actually facing me all the time.
Forgive the title but this was the closest I got to golf, today!! Yesterday, I hurt my back at the gym and thereafter was in so much pain ... I didn't sleep well due to tossing and turning, all night and just couldn't have played golf this morning!!
Feeling a little better this afternoon so hopefully I can return to the gym, tomorrow and back on the golf curse on Thursday!!

Forgive me but I cannot remember where I took this beautiful yet dramatic shot of this statue. I found the photo in my archive without description, A fault in not naming it at the time.
The only way I could capture the whole of this church in a very cluttered area was to use AI tools to completely get rid of the background and replace it with a fake one. So here it is for what it’s worth.
