Forge and blacksmith reconstruction at Parke's Castle on Lough Gill, County Leitrim, Ireland, built in 1620-30s, abandoned in the 1970s, and reconstructed through archaeological research starting in the 1970s, using original construction techniques. The current castle was built on the site of a former tower house (O'Rourke's Tower House) which had been seized from the rebel Irish owner by English forces, and eventually ceded to Parke; the foundation of the former structure is still visible in the castle courtyard.
