On a day hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, we all piled into Eric's garage to watch a forging demo.

Landscape
Shape: The rocks represent irregular shapes.
Color: The color is a bit muted/desaturated.
Texture: There is texture in the ripples in the water.
Balance: The rocks are the focal point and it is rule of thirds.
Contrast: The sky is bright, the rocks are dark, and the water is in between.
I adjusted the levels, lowered saturation, and added a little bit of a vignette. A high iso was used.
I chose this image because I think it is well composed.
Finally got to put my forge to use! Very excited to be moving towards the end of my current project and looking forward to doing more.

We walked around the Southern Gospel Music Association Museum. Then we ate lunch at Granny's buffet. Next we listened to Dolly Parton's relatives, Dolly's Family Reunion, play and sing at the Back Porch Theatre. We walked into and out of many shops in Craftsman Valley. We planned to see the "Wings of America" show, but bad weather caused the show to be cancelled. Then we sat by the lake watching the ducks and enjoyed a funnel cake with strawberries. Unfortunately, I lost 51 of my last pictures and won't be uploading them.

Judy and Jim picked up some tickets for shows next week and some Dollywood passes. Then we drove north on highway 66 to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. We wandered around the store looking at merchandise, displays, and a knife museum. On the way home, to top off a rainy drizzly Sunday, we stopped at Fuddruckers for a Buffalo Burger. We only ate half the bun, no fries, and piled our plates high with raw vegetables from the bar. It was a nice Mother's Day.
