Not only was the forest floor replete with wildflowers, but the presence of this beautiful White-tailed Deer was an added bonus. She was casually grazing on the ground cover, but was not eating the flowers.

Hike the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, Wisconsin, to find this enchanting stairway in the middle of nature's paradise!
Fog in the morning and autumn colors are for me one of the most beautiful times of the year. So I rushed into the nearby forest to take some photos. And this is the result.
Dezember 2010 war ein sehr schneereiches Monat, wie man hier gut sehen kann. Leider lässt der Schnee in diesem Jahr etwas auf sich warten. Vielleicht wirds noch was, die Wettervoraussichten deuten auf Schnee hin.
December 2010 was a very rich snow month, as you can see here well. Unfortunately, the snow this year can be some time in coming. Maybe it gets even what the weather previsions indicate snow.

Anemones and anemone hepatica (at background) blooming in the forest. There were a lot of them :)
