With my imagination I saw catastrophic events that were occurring in this photo. The trees being the clouds, the ground being the Heavens. The way the sun is hiding behind the "clouds" foreshadows impending doom. The Sun bringer of life, and death to all.
(ooh, upload foreshadowing ;))
After checking out Mount Cook, we headed back toward Queenstown. Somewhere along the way, maybe in Cromwell? we stopped at another i-Site to get some hints for what to do next. Our original plan had been to finish up with a cruise in the well-known Milford Sound. The worker at the i-Site warned us that may be a risky plan, because the mountains had been getting lots of snow and the road to Milford Sound had been closed on an off in the past couple days. As an alternative, they suggested the less-known (but they promised equally beautiful) Doubtful Sound. Either way, it was much more practical to stay nearer Fiordlands National Park than Queenstown (buses leave from Queenstown, but of course much much earlier than we would have preferred), so we bypassed Queenstown and headed back toward the mountains. This led to us driving along and watching the sun set over the mountains across Lake Wakatipu.
The POTUS Special on the WC's Division Street trackage, leaves Oshkosh on a gloomy day. A day that foreshadowed the election that year.
A few shots taken last night at the famous Kentwood Duck Pond (East Paris Nature Park).
Yes, this IS current ... young/sick trees always turn early, far in advance of everything else. And if you know me, you know that I'm the world's biggest season rusher! ;-)
A prophetic account of Deleuzian becoming-animal, Jackson's first solo hit foreshadowed the dramatic metamorphoses that characterized his life as the man transformed himself and the world around him.
Hugely influential, Jackson is represented by a monolithic sculpture overlooking the Earth, visible whenever the moon walks the night sky, yet inaccessible, isolated on his own world.
No literal monument, the becoming-rat of "Ben"'s protagonist is a metaphor for Jackson's becomings, and our own.

The warmth of the late April sun as it sets on the Sonoran Preserve in Phoenix, Arizona, foreshadows what is to come. May and June turn from hot to brutally hot and no relief will come until the monsoon begins to import moisture into the deserts in mid-July.
A dead tree is a common sight at Winter time. This particular tree foreshadows an overcast day in Hamilton too.
Itimad-ud-daulah. The mausoleum foreshadows the Taj Mahal in being the first building in Mughal Agra to be faced in entirely with marble and with its lavish use of inlay to decorate the exterior walls. The inlay makes use of semi-precious stones-cornelian, jasper, lapis lazuli, onyx, and topaz formed into images of cypress trees and wine bottles, or more elaborate decorations like cut fruit or vases containing bouquets.
Blessing #2 - Photography
Ever since I can remember, I have been photo-obsessed. Foreshadowed by the photo taken by my father of baby me crawling towards a box of Kodak film, my love of photography goes back far in my memory, to early elementary school days where I can recall spending hours pouring through my mother's boxes of family photos, organizing them in strict chronological order and albumizing accordingly (though I had to guess much of what this order was considering most were from my babyhood if not before I was born.) Since my grade eight days when I would come home every few days with another disposable camera documenting our recess shenanigans, I have taken thousands upon thousands of snapshots, bringing one camera or another to literally every social gathering and event. Once high school hit and photography was offered in a classroom setting, it began to take on a bit more structured form, and I finally learned to use the SLR that my father bought when I was born (the one on the left^). As photography followed me in to university, somehow something changed. Definitions changed. Labels were added. The word "art" became less of a comfort and more of a threat. Somewhere along the line I created a pedestal and upon it I placed some vague definition of what a photograph should be, and promptly decided that I could no longer reach that height. I still took my snaphots and loved them dearly, but I could never bring myself to be satisfied witht he photographs I made, they were never good enough. Since I've left university, I've spent a lot of time unlearning this notion, and I'm happy to report it's working. I've decicded I can do this and I will do everything I can to take it seriously. Screw this mental blockage, I'm breaking it down and moving forward. Thanks for sticking with me, photography, even when I lost my faith in you <3

Day 93: I really love fog. And i love this shot and its seemingly foreshadowing feeling of my future...haha. Anyways, let the weekend festivities commence!
Storm clouds move over Richmond before one of several brief rain showers (and windstorms) that seemingly foreshadowed the events to come.
My trip began with a drive South of Calgary. On the way, traffic slowed down for a roadside emergency. I passed by and was able to pull out the camera in time to catch these firemen extinguishing a pickup truck after the box caught fire.
South of Calgary, I reached the first location I was hoping to explore. It was a place I had visited many times before and was expecting a good time. Instead I found that the location was recenlty turned active and is now being used for oilfield storage. Hoping to slip in for some quick photos on one of the floors not being used turned out to be a mistake. I opened the main door, which was oddly not locked, and wound up staring straight into one of three motion sensors all pointed at the doorway. I left and hit the road. I don't think I'll be back for a long time.
Even this far out I was having a little spray blown my way, which was a minor foreshadowing of what was to come.
the seder plate from our second night. we held it at my parents' house so everyone could play with Chucky.
i went to bed early tonight . . . felt kinda fevery at the end of the seder. foreshadowing: good call.
I was shocked to see some rickshaws at Zurich airport as part of an exhibition. Talk about auspicious! What are the chances! My auto rickshaw rally was bound to be exciting.
