Itimad-ud-daulah. The mausoleum foreshadows the Taj Mahal in being the first building in Mughal Agra to be faced in entirely with marble and with its lavish use of inlay to decorate the exterior walls. The inlay makes use of semi-precious stones-cornelian, jasper, lapis lazuli, onyx, and topaz formed into images of cypress trees and wine bottles, or more elaborate decorations like cut fruit or vases containing bouquets.
