While not all that foreign, a lone Norfolk Southern C44-9W throttles up from a stop with a train of empty 2 bay hoppers, presumably sand empties. The train is coming off of the New Castle Subdivision, going onto the Willard Subdivision in Greenwich, Ohio. This most recent visit was my first time visiting the area, and this was the first train I was able to shoot. In this day and age with Norfolk Southern's AC44C6M rebuild program running rampant, a C44-9W in any regard is more than welcome in my eyes.
