Jeffrey Ray, 15th Operations Support Squadron survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SERE) instructor, explains the fundamentals of a radio to aircrew members during a combat survival refresher course Oct. 9, 2014, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The SERE combat survival refresher course is designed to familiarize aircrew members with combat skills learned through hands-on training in a realistic environment. Skills covered during the training support skills needed for personnel recovery in case aircrerw members need to egress their aircraft during a real world situation. Ashgill Force is located near to the small and attractive Pennine village of Garrigill and around four miles from the isolated market town of Alston in Cumbria's Eden District. The force is the highest waterfall in the area. Ashgill was once an industrial landscape where high quality lead was mined.
Ashgill Burn begins its life as a small stream known as Little Gill, it finds its source at a height of more than 2,300 feet on the north-western slopes of Burnhope Seat in the North Pennine Hills. The gill descends into a steep gorge as it reaches the Pennine road from Alston to Middleton-in-Teesdale (B6277) and below the road bridge the gill falls a spectacular fifty feet from a rock shelf into a pool in the wooded valley below.

Millennium Force opened on Cedar Point's Frontier Trail in May, 2000. When it opened, the ride broke 10 world records including records for height and speed.
After climbing to a height of 310 feet and a experiencing a drop of 300 feet, riders enter a 169-foot, 122-degree angle overbanked curve, beforing diving into the first of two tunnels. As the train crosses a lagoon and onto an island, riders find themselves at the top of the 182-foot third hill.
On the island, riders experience another overbanked curve and 87-foot-high turn. After the train leaves the island, riders fly through the second tunnel.
The rides ends with a 68-foot-tall overbanked turn over the queue area.

To contradict the unflattering portrait of Sedalia I painted in my last month's "Single In" challenge, Sedalia has a large and luminous pearl called the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art. It is a wonderful, varied and far-reaching collection, with an emphasis in ceramics (the area I studied for my Bachelor of Fine Arts).
The Daum Museum was also where I held my first job, as a student employee. I've been in every nook and cranny and have personally handled and installed many of the pieces. I can't even count the hours I went snow-blind patching, spackling and painting the white walls and sculpture bases.

Taking place on 29 November 2018 in Paris, the ICC Institute of World Business Law held their Annual Conference. The event gathered international business practitioners, legal experts and academics who discussed and exchanged on a variety of regarding hardship and Force Majeure in international commercial contracts.
Lang naar uitgekeken en eindelijk was het zover; de Luchtmachtdagen. Helaas was het weer niet helemaal om over naar huis te schrijven, maar dat maakte het plezier van mijn zoon, een Franse vriend en mij er niet minder op. Voor mij waren de Spitfires en het oude spul weer het hoogtepunt. Mijn zoon houdt meer van het modernere materieel. En ook ik heb daar van genoten. Met name de Air Power Demonstratie was weer indrukwekkend.
Long awaited and finally it was time; The Royal Dutch Air Force Days. Unfortunately the weather was not too great. But nevertheless my son, a French friend and I had a lot of fun. For me, the Spitfires and other old war birds were the highlight of the day. My son loves the more modern stuff better. And I enjoyed that too. In particular the Air Power Demonstration was impressive again.
