SEMA 2014 - AMERICAN FORCE WHEELS - LAS VEGAS

In 1988, I went with my mom, brother and a family friend to see the Space Shuttle land at Edwards Air Force Base. It was the first mission after the Challenger disaster, and the orbiter was Discovery.

Evan, in last year's Yoda costume. I tried to tell him to put his hand out like that while I was taking pictures, but he didn't really do it. It worked out better to just take my chances. I ended up with a few good pictures like this anyway.

NORTH ARABIAN GULF, Kuwait — A UH-60 Black Hawk pilot assigned to the 449th Combat Aviation Brigade checks the aircraft prior to completing his Deck Landing Qualifications on the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) in the North Arabian Gulf April 1, 2018. DLQ training familiarizes Soldiers and Sailors with proper operations that can be used to transport cargo to remote locations over water. This training also strengthens interoperability operations between the U.S Army and the U.S Navy supporting the Operation Spartan Shield mission. (U.S. Army courtesy photo)
