Fluffy footers!
Usually when she's flopped and I open the cage she gets up to sniff my hand, but this time she stayed all stretched out. Not the most technically impressive pictures, but I'm surprised she stayed still. She's very curious and always likes to check things out (that's why it's so hard to get pictures of her outside the cage - she's too busy exploring) so it's nice to see her stay in 'relaxed mode.'
Here, the footer is covered in plastic insulation blankets in order to regulate the temperature of the concrete as it cures.

This time looking north from the back of the house. you can see the series of footers across the middle where support posts will be, and that there are also a series of steps to accommodate the slight incline of the lot.
On Thursday, October 20, 2022 Maureen Footer joined MFIT Deputy Director Patricia Mears in conversation about her book, "Dior and His Decorators: Victor Grandpierre, Georges Geffroy, and the New Look."
"Dior and His Decorators" is the first book devoted to the two interior designers most closely associated with Christian Dior. Like the luxurious fashions of Dior's New Look, which debuted in 1947, the interior designs of Victor Grandpierre and Georges Geffroy infused a war-weary world with a sumptuous new aesthetic drawing on the refined traditions of the past. Using vintage photographs, author Maureen Footer recounted the lives and the work of this trio. A book signing followed.

Het geheel lijkt niet te stoppen onderaan, terwijl het wel degelijk stopt. Ik mis het "footer-gevoel".
Easy 4000 footer today. Mt. Moosilauke, 4802 ft. That’s my 21st 4K in NH, still have 27 to go!
I went up the George Brook Trail and the only tricky part was a couple of washouts early on. The Dartmouth Outing Club will have a pretty big job fixing them.
The book says 3.7 miles each way and 3.5 hours. I did the whole thing in about four hours. It’s a nice summit. The last half mile is through scrub pine and then open to the summit. The AT crosses the summit from left to right (south to north). There’s a old foundation below the summit to the south and there are several three sided rock walls if you want to get out of the north wind. There’s a nice view down to Lincoln.
After the hike I headed into Linclon for a piece of Lemon meringue pie and some coffee. On the way home I drove up through Franconia Notch. There was traffic at the top of the notch due to paving but that worked out good because there was a black bear and two cubs walking across one of the lower ski trails on Cannon so it was nice going slow through there.
