"It's not a war, no
It's not a rapture
I'm just a person, but you can't take it
The same tricks that, that once fooled me
They won't get you anywhere
I'm not the same kid from your memory...
Well, you treat me just like another stranger..."
Geeze, picture #29 and this is my first Paramore inspired one?? I'm ashamed of myself. I might dedicate next week entirely to Paramore, but that's TBD :)
The idea for this came from how I felt about a particular person last summer, when this song was released, coincidentally. My friend started treating me differently. Then, after that, they started acting like they barely knew me. And I didn't really understand why. It was like as if I was shoved into the storage space, only to be shown when THEY needed me. And I let them treat me that way. It wasn't much fun. I kept a lot of anger and frustration in because of it.
The good news is that this person and I are back to normal now :) I told them about how I felt like they were treating me "just like another stranger" (sorry, had to :P) and we talked about it and now, everything's good! I love happy endings.
I will save the story of how I became a Paramore fan for another post :P

A few members of the Crappy Camera gang met up at the FestiFools parade in Ann Arbor, Crappy Cameras in tow. One thing that turned out well was bringing the Holga. Holgas are great at adding separation between the subject and the rest of the frame. I think most of these shots would be totally uninteresting with a different camera - the subject would get lost in all the other action going on.
On a side note, I think Mark O'Brien knows this guy. And I don't think that should surprise anyone who knows Mark personally.
Here's a throwback to the 80's, when we hosted our very first Bowling Tournament! Okay, so maybe it was actually 2017, but some of the costumes were so good they had us fooled!

The replacement lens for my Nikon isn’t here yet so I’m still stuck with fooling the idiot camera into doing what I want done.
The light was strange. It was overcast to the East but the sky was much clearer to the West and there was this big, white cloud overhead, providing a lot of fill light (as it were). I still wasn’t sure it was enough light to fill in the shadows so I wanted the flash on the camera to go off. It won’t do that in “Landscape” mode — which is exactly why I normally use it -- trying to keep the flash from going off when I’m taking (before) sunrise shots. So I had to try a bunch of different modes before I found one where the flash would go off in daylight. I think it wound up being “Nighttime Portrait” or something goofy like that.
Nikon L22
ISO 80 (Why?)
6.72mm (I’d guess about 28mm equivalent)
-1.3v (It tries to overexposure everything so I have to adjust the EV button on every shot.)
F3.1 (I call it an idiot camera for a reason.)
1/250th (Still an idiot camera)
Flash
