Chop the fat up with a food processor. Next time, I think I'll use the meat grinder, because the food processor is way more difficult to clean. (Thanks, Cam!)

with some home-baked sweetness. going over to friends' for dinner tonight, so I made my mom's almond torte, my favorite recipe ever (and which I can always make straight out of the pantry, b/c I always have almond paste on hand).
Swiping the food processor bowl clean with your fingers is one of the best parts. That and the yummy almond smell in the apartment while it bakes. Eating it, of course, is heaven.

Possibly the foundations for a bone saw to the left. I'll return to see if it is fastened there, or just randomly parked. Does not make sense to have bone saws on both sides of the flensing plane.
Daikon shrimpcakes
450g grated daikon
250g raw shrimp/prawn
2 spring onions, chopped
1 red chili, chopped
1 egg
2 T riceflour
1/2 T fishsauce
Salt & pepper
I grated the daikon in my foodprocessor, then sprinkled it with some salt (1/4 teaspoon) and set aside in a sieve for half an hour.
Then I changed the knife in the foodprocessor and pulsed the shrimp coursely with the egg, shaoxing, fishsauce, salt and pepper.
Squeeze all moist from the daikon and add the daikon to the shrimp. Add the rice flour. Pulse carefully to mix.
Add chopped spring onion and diced chiles. Pulse once agaain.
Add big spoonfuls of mixture to a hot, oily pan. Don't try to turn the cakes until the bottom is browned.
Turn, panfry the other side. I think it will take about 10 minutes? I had big cakes.
Serve with sweet chili sauce, okonomiyaki sauce, sriracha or whatever sauce you like.
Very nice way to eat your vegetables. I liked them very much. Actually, I wish I made more. (we ate this with the two of us)
