Learned how to strip the leaves from stems in a flower class at NY Botanical Gardens. I used the same technique here. I can see another dish in the making I can use the remainder of the Cilantro for yellow Caribean rice with beans.
Over a dozen Bay Area artists served their favorite comfort food recipes rooted in the places and peoples of diaspora for a public tasting at March's ConVerge gathering, co-hosted by artist Michael Arcega. ConVerge: Foodie was presented in conjunction with the exhibition, "A Special Curatorial Project with Rirkrit Tiravanija: The Way Things Go," featuring the work of Michael Arcega and 12 other artists from Asia, Europe & the Bay Area that traces the history and migration of seeds, plants, recipes, ingredients, and kitchen culture.
