Another one for the "mini" food series that I love creating!
A lot of challenges but you learn a step at a time.
All week, I wait avidly for Saturday, so I could get up late and make pancakes for brunch, using my very own recipe :)
Tuesday, we had what we call "Grazing Day" at work. The staff all gets together to bring a potluck dish to share. This day is looked forward to all year and is a favorite among all of us.
Some of the items on this plate include. Smoked salmon dip (my contribution to the meal at 5 o clock on the plate) Spicy cheese dip, meatballs, chicken wings, Ritz crackers, tortilla roll ups, Caprese salad, cranberry dip, BLT dip, and Danish salmon.
This was just a small sample of what was made for this meal. I have photos of individual dishes and I will be posting them soon

Great Basin Gopher Snake (Pituophis catenifer deserticola) - Indian Cove Campground, Joshua Tree National Park, California. This snake was bloated from having eaten what was probably a desert rat. From the side you could see legs trying to poke through the snake's skin. This snake didn't move for hours even as cars were driving right past its head.
I didn't have enough time to snap a quick portrait today so here's a chocolate-poke-cake we made earlier as a substitute(topped with edible rose petals)!!
Plus that melted icing looks like liquid gold.
Two 1/3rd pound patties with bacon, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle and special sauce. I ordered the breaded mushrooms instead of the French fries.
A coworker of mine told me about this restaurant, the burgers were pretty tasty. Both my wife and I ordered the boonie burger
