Not sure about Dave's technique in this one. Obviously has whipped the ball over, but that follow through? It did the job though!
The Laver Cup came to San Francisco this weekend with teams representing Europe and the World. All of the players are highly rated in the ATP Tour rankings, so there was a lot of great tennis to see. Some of the people sitting near me had attended all three days, 7 or 8 hours each day. That's a *lot* of tennis.
Carlos Alcaraz was the highest ranked player. These photos show his serve motion and his backhand followthrough.
Finally started to re-discover the groove at this point....left a nice little divot. I couldn't quite time the shutter with me striking the ball.
2 years old and the kid already has whip action! ........my bruised body can tell you that......after not being prepared for how hard he throws....It hit me square in the forehead....lol.......Thank God it was a tennis ball.....and not this hardball.
All in all, not a great shot, but I love Carmona's ballet like followthrough pose. It's a shame he got sent back to AAA hours after this shot was taken! I've another shot where he ends up in the exact same pose.....

An interesting follow-though after Rochester first baseman Ray Chang fouls one off.
This was such an enjoyable game to attend! You would think the Red Wings were in game 7 of the championships. It was just the last game of the season Every decent play by a Rochester player got an avalanche of applause by the 9,100 fans (11,00 is capacity).

And my spirit is crying
For leaving." - Led Zepplin, Stairway to Heaven
I've began contemplating whether or not to continue with this project. I knew I'd have days like this. Days where I just don't want to deal with the hassle of mentally getting myself into a place where I can shoot and create images.
When those thoughts come up, I'm reminded of other countless ventures I've embarked upon in the past. Many of which I bailed on or just straight up quit.
It's easy to quit. It's safe to quit. No harm, no foul, right? WRONG! I'm tired of being a quitter. I'm tired of not following through with things that I say that I will and living up to my word.
I set a goal for myself, and I intended on keeping it.
