It's sad how much i completely fail at this whole 366 picture thing. i mean, i really do have drive, followthrough... all of that. i guess i just am sick of taking pics of my self. i have 2 set of 365/366 and neither of them are complete. not even close.
i look like a Bolivian cholita.
I've driven by this place more times then I can count and every time I do, the thought of taking a photograph crossed my mind - but I never followed through for one reason or another. On this day, it was the second time in an hour and I could finally pass it up no longer.
Well, well....here it is...2019. Once again blessed with another 365 to get things right!
I am not a resolution maker...mainly because I totally lack the followthrough it takes to do that. Strangely enough I am much better at followthrough for my friends, because..well, they are my friends!!!
I decided to go about this resolution thing from another angle...maybe instead of saying “I WILL BE LESS PROCRASTINATED, DISORGANIZED AND WONKY THIS YEAR”. (which I know is never gonna happen), I will say “I’ma try my best to have days of less procrastination, disorganization and wonky all on the SAME day.”!! That way I give myself a little leeway and might actually get some points in the more realistic goals arena!
To start my year I want to thank all my friends that stood by me even at my weirdest and I want to thank them for all the blessings they bring into my life! All y’all know who you are...and if you are not sure just go with that you are in the bunch too! The more the merrier in the nut house that is life!
(These vintage bottle necks are just an example of how easy it is to make me a happy camper... they are pretty in a decrepit way....they are historic in a “they are very old” way, and they are interesting because of that as well. They were a “gift” from some people I barely know and our bond is a love of old decrepit things found! That is about all it takes to make me smile. I would say I am easy...but that sounds bad! So let’s just say I am a happy person, easily entertained and leave it at that!! Happy New Year!
Jerry has natural ability to throw things, incredibly fast, with wonderful accuracy. Coupled with his temper, it makes for an active and lively lifestyle.

When I was a child I always wished I could stay in the car while it was being washed. It seems like the norm these days. I sure do have fun with my smart phone on the dash. It's hard to resist since every photo is so different. Depending on the focus or blur, some turn out to be great abstracts.
(Obviously, I failed to follow the "Follow Through" rule) :(

The Laver Cup came to San Francisco this weekend with teams representing Europe and the World. All of the players are highly rated in the ATP Tour rankings, so there was a lot of great tennis to see. Some of the people sitting near me had attended all three days, 7 or 8 hours each day. That's a *lot* of tennis.
Carlos Alcaraz was the highest ranked player. These photos show his serve motion and his backhand followthrough. His serve motion is so fast that I couldn't "stop" his arm motion at the top of his swing.

A mystery thriller...finished it in one day because I just couldn't put it down. A very relevant
story especially after the recent events in Connecticut.

This was a very good book with a rather poignant, but satifying, ending.

The book has an interesting premise but the actual writing is not that great and the plot development is confusing at times. At certain points, it's implied that the events Emmett is dreaming about are not his memories and a few pages later, it's stated that they are his. His conflicts with his family are brought up again and again, but there is never any resolution -- good or bad. Good book idea, bad book followthrough.

A very interesting book based on a theory about Shakespeare that I had never heard before...a little slow at spots but decent writing in general.

The gleam on his face when he made his first shot on a big hoop (lowered to 8ft) was a special moment. He looked surprised and proud and then quickly looked to me to make sure his "first" shot was witnessed. Better for me then the shot was his great reaction. i think he even had a hushed "Yes!" and an arm pump. He went on to shoot 40+ more times and say that he decided he really likes basketball.
